“I’ll Always Love You ” is one of the most famous songs of today. Dolly Parton has always been an inspiration to me. Talented and wanting stardom, she reached her goal but with a twist. She helped her impoverished family, her friends, children of the world, and animals with her wealth and brilliance. But she also did something else. She was a role model of our times of the joy of kindness, spreading light and love wherever she sang, or talked to others.
Was it meant to be that I briefly mention Dolly in my 2026 latest novella, New Angel In Town? My character, Aunt Helen, wants Dolly to play her in a film being created about angel encounters.
I wish I had met her because I would have loved to tell her, “Did you know, you are an angel unaware as you spread love around the world promoting literacy and kindness?”
What a lovely soul, now in heaven with her beloved husband. Surely, if it can be, she has wings as she looks down upon us sending love, light and sunshine behind the rainbows.
