Tuesdays With The Angels-Teach Your Children That the Bully Never Wins

What’s happening? Why are people bullying on national TV for our children to see? The politicians, podcasters and hater adults acting like the old characterization of the schoolyard bully? It’s cruel.

As I write books about angels, I get appalled and saddened at the same time. Bullying has been around since the dawn of man, yet not so prevalent. Hatred in the news for people different ethnicities, religions and color of people’s skin? What are our children witnessing? Will this epidemic of bullying be the role model for them to follow into their adulthood? If I was to write a letter to the editor of any newspaper in the USA I would say this…

We have as adults, a duty to our children and grandchildren to stand up and say ‘Enough‘. I ask the angels to help, I pray we talk to our kids. Tell them kindness and love wins. Is this the answer? What else can we do? For on this beautiful planet, the bully should never win.

Tuesday With The Angels- The Bully Never Wins-Bullying Hurts

There’s beauty in being sensitive to the differences of others. As a child I remember a little girl who bullied some of us on the block and others made fun of kids at school. I remember how I wanted the little girl to be my friend and yet she would pick on us. I remember my friend, Nancy’s mother talking to us about it. Long ago her mother helped me realize it was wrong to make fun and be mean to others.

Bullying is still hurting our children. Many of us have been bullied at one time or another and we remember it. It hurts our development of self esteem. During those times I felt bullied as a child, my self esteem was low. I  never would have believed then I would write about bullying, or be a retired educator, or write books about angels. What kind of role models should we be? We should discuss bullying with our children often. It’s one path to end bullying.

Even before I met the man I know was an angel sent to comfort me when I lost my daughter, I knew God and angels existed. I ask the angels everyday to show me the way to love and kindness. Encouraging our children  to walk away and find other friends who are nice to them helps our children grow into confident adults. There’s beauty in being sensitive to the needs of others. Being kind is powerful. The bully never wins.

Tuesdays With The Angels-The Bully Never Wins

Bullying hurts our kids and our progress to evolve into a world full of human kindness. There is too much bullying on the internet, social media, and in schools.

When I write my angel novels, I always write in a character who has bully-like behaviors. In the story the other characters learn to thwart the bully’s efforts by having the confidence and courage to walk away. Many times I write the bully character as learning eventually to change his or her ways.

My novels are full of love, redemption and forgiveness and also self reflection. It is my hope my first mystery, Summer of Angels will show readers that I believe angels are always near, how love always wins and of course, the bully never wins.

Tuesdays With The Angels-Summer of Angels

Summer of Angels is here. It  is my first Mystic Bay Mystery! Set in the fictitious town of Mystic Bay, Gayle Force, a psychic meteorologist, has a prophetic dream sent by an angel. She must prevent a crime from happening. As in all my novels, a bully must be thwarted and the bully in this novel is no match for Gayle and her detective partner, Alex Knight! With angels at the helm, the bully never wins.

Tuesdays With The Angels-The Bully Never Wins

The Bully Never Wins in all my books. In the Mystic Bay Series there is always a bully who in the end has a lesson to learn. And many times the bully characters change for the better.

In Summer of Angels, to be published soon and part of the new Mystic Bay Mystery Series, a bully is about to commit a crime and meteorologist Gayle Force, and her partner, Alex Knight, set out to save an old man from drowning.

In my novels, I always use the theme of bullying along with other themes which include the presence of angels living as humans, romance, redemption and forgiveness.

Unfortunately, all of us at one time or another have experienced bullying or witnessed it first hand. My goal as I write is to let the reader know that through my life’s journey, I have found that love is stronger than hate.  In our own lives if the bully doesn’t learn a lesson then doesn’t it become his or her sorrow? You see Kindness prevails and Love Always Wins.

Tuesdays With The Angels-The Bully Never Wins

As a young girl I witnessed bullying in our neighborhood. The little girl was cruel  to my friend and me. My own mother didn’t seem to notice but my friend Sally’s mother did. She sat us down and talked to us about it. Her words gave me confidence. I’ll never forget her kindness. Perhaps she is the inspiration for so much of my mothering skills.

Unfortunately, in our lives today bullies come and bullies go. The bully is in the schoolyard, the neighborhood, and the politics played out like a TV show in the news headlines.

What can we do about it? Like Sally’s mother, we can gravitate to those who inspire us with their kindness and support. Besides these people with angelic qualities, I always visualize Heaven’s angels near. I think they send messages of hope, and positive thoughts and ideas.

Gratefully,  I’ve met many a kind person in my life especially one I am sure was an angel sent from above to comfort me long ago. When I lost my child and sorrow took me down, a kind friend took me on a girl’s trip. There we met a man who had to be an angel. He is the inspiration for all my angel books. In my books, of course, there are kind characters, themes of hope, redemption, forgiveness and love. But also, there are oh so many angels to help make sure the bully never wins.

Tuesday With The Angel’s-Angel’s Prayer For Bullying’s End 2023

If I could hear all the angel’s prayers, they would pray for our children to never suffer from the effects of bullying again. If I could hear the angel’s prayers, their hopes would be to inspire us in 2023, to  teach all our children to stand tall, building strength and show kindness to others.

As I write my Mystic Bay Series about angels, I know for sure that angel’s prayers flow through my mind. In my novels, the bully never wins and love prevails. How you ask, do I know this? Well, once upon a time, long ago, when I was in tremendous sorrow, an angel appeared in human form and my life was never the same.  Angel’s prayers fill my heart with dreams and writings of love.

Tuesday With The Angels- My Favorite Christmas Movie and Bullying

At Christmas time, the 1946 movie, It’s A Wonderful Life, is my very favorite to watch. George Bailey, feels his business and life is ruined and wishes he was never born. He meets Clarence, his guardian angel, who stops him from jumping off the town’s bridge into a river. Clarence shows George, what life would be like in the town if George had never been born and his good deeds never happened. It’s a heartfelt story of George’s courage, kindness and love of family and neighbors. The story is an example of what standing up against a bully can do. Long ago, I was fortunate to meet an angel in human form. This comforting angel is the inspiration for all the books in my Mystic Bay Series. In the stories I write, the bully never wins. Other George Bailey’s are out there now, thwarting bullies today! They are our heroes. It IS a wonderful life! Happy Holidays!

Tuesdays With The Angels-The Bully Never Wins

Bullying is a theme in all my novels. In Town of Angel Christmas, the bully tries to prevent the sale of land proposed for housing future rescued wild horses. In the story, Angel Ken, who is secretly living a human existence, helps solve the issue by weaving his courage, wit and kindness, ultimately thwarting the bully’s efforts.  In all my novels, the bully is taught a lesson in human kindness.

It’s the same in our lives today. Whether, the bully ever learns his or her way to kindness depends on their own willingness to let goodness in. They can be influenced by the way other’s react to them.

If we stand firm with kindness in our hearts, we will have the strongest shield of all. It’s a shield built of love, and angel lessons. Love is indeed a strength to be reckoned with. When I write, love and angels always win.

Tuesdays With The Angels-Bullying Hurts Children and They Are Listening

Bullying is hurting our children and we can all do something about it. We realize our children are watching and listening to bullies on TV, in schools and neighborhoods. Recently, I spoke at Desert Foothills Library in Arizona about my writing the Mystic Bay Series and my memoir Special Needs Children The Angels On My Shoulder. All my books include thwarting bullying as a theme.

A wonderful family came late to hear my talk. As I sat with them after the others had left telling them about the books, the mother stated, “The Archangel Michael sent our family to hear you speak about angels.” She told me she wants to write about angels and I encouraged her to keep her dream of writing alive. Then my daughter called. Our grandson is learning a most valuable lesson in his kindergarten. The teacher’s lesson is Fill your bucket with kindness? Isn’t that a wonderful message for young ones to learn? Kindness is healing. We can reach our children by being true examples of kindness ourselves. Bullying never wins. Let’s ask the angels to help us. I’m sure they’ll listen.
